2009 - 2010 Accomplishments
Ashcroft First Impressions of Shaylee earned another point in Allentown late December going WB/BOS. Ashcroft Happy Talk
(Spenser) earned two more points and BOB over a special. He's one point away from his AKC championship.
November 20-21 at the Philadelphia KC show.... we reconnected with some Ashcroft owners - it was great to
see all of you!! And I expect to get pictures!!
As for the show results... Saturday Shaylee, Buddy, Spenser and Callie all won their classes. Lots of blue ribbons there... Callie
went on to WB for 2 points. Sunday,
Buddy
, Spenser and Callie won their classes again, with Spenser going WD
for
1 point, and Callie earning WB/BOW/BOS for her final
(3 pt) major to finish her AKC championship.
At historic Morris & Essex KC, under esteemed judge Ron Menaker, "Spenser", Ashcroft Happy Talk was
WD/BOW for a 5 point major!! 
He repeated this performance at the Devon KC show under Charlotte Clem
McGowan.

(Spenser is a litter brother to Ch Ashcroft Talk Of The Town, Marquis, who finished in September. These are two super boys!).
Ch Ashcroft Orion NAJ earned his first agility title in Kimberton, PA at the terrier agility trials there.
Early October in Virginia's horse and hounds country, Ashcroft Devil Or Angel (Buddy) and Pam Capuano's Ashcroft First

Shaylee each got their first AKC wins. Buddy was WD.BOW
, Shaylee was WB.
Ashcroft Happy Talk (Spenser) was RWD, his first weekend being shown. Buddy also made his mark on the spectators, with his
sweet personality and ever wagging tail.
September 26 in eastern MD, Ch Ashcroft Do U
Believe In Magic JE earned her Jr Earthdog title!
That's the second
earthdog from Ashcroft - I'm thrilled to see the dogs doing what they love in performance venues.
September news... Marquis finished his AKC championship title, now CH Ashcroft Talk Of The Town, he is home
with owners Darla and Jay in Connecticut.
Marquis
is a lovely DNA 1-2 blue boy with a wonderful coat, moderate,
balanced angulation, and a fantastic devil may care temperament, having grown up as shop dog at Mystic Clippers.
Ashcroft Savanna SE earned her fist Master Earthdog leg, and her CGC. Orion is loving agility, keeping owners Karen and Al busy -
look for him at the October Kimberton PA agility trials.
Aug 21, Ch Ashcroft Orion earned his first Agility leg at his second trial - congratulations Al & Karen!
At the August Harrisburg PA conformation shows, new co-owner Kim McCormick showed her first Bedlington, Ashcroft Emma,
to BOB over specials for her 2nd major in 2 weekends out. Emma has 9 points - both majors - toward her championship. Way to
go Kim!
Earlier in the month, Marquis was BOB both days in Bloomsburg PA, he needs a single point to finish.
We had a very successful circuit in West Springfield, MA early July. Ashcroft Talk Of The Town (Marquis) was BOB
for a 4 point major,
and picked up an additional three
singles as well. Lambs End Calientita At Ashcroft took her
first major win handled by Gaby Gilbeau of LAMZ

.
In addition, young Ashcroft
Emma, out for the first
time, was BOB over specials for a 5 point major win. Emma also won over her new co-owner, Kim McCormick and lives in CT now.
June 26 Ch Ashcroft Do U Believe In Magic earned her first Jr Earthdog leg. She also qualified in IQ both days of
the weekend. The second day in JR her brains got the better of her instinct. She looked into the tunnel, looked up and saw the judge
standing in front of her. She KNOWS that's who has those wonderful smelly rats - so she went up, over the top of the tunnels to the
judge. She did do the tunnel and work the rats after being "shooed" away, but her time was too long for a qualifying run. Savanna
also ran another qualifying Senior leg.
June 5-6 Ashcroft Sangeo Savanna earned her Senior Earthdog title with 3 qualifying runs in 3 attempts. Savanna
is the first Ashcroft bred dog to earn Earthdog titles, and she sets a high standard to follow. Congratulations to owners Karen and
Al, who hope to work toward her Masters title. As an aside, Savanna is 7 years old, and only started training in 2009.
Crosswicks Farm in Crosswicks, NJ (just off exit 7 of the NJ Tpk) is the site for many earth dog activities during the year. The
New Jersey Beanfield Earthdog Club (NJBEC) website will have a calendar of events. Each Memorial Day weekend, they hold a
training day and a fun day for earth dog enthusiasts. In May 2010, a few Bedlington Terrier folks got together to have some fun
with their dogs.

April 17, 2010 Harrisburg, PA, Ashcroft Talk Of The Town (Marquis) was Best of Breed for 2 more points. May 8th in Bucks Cty
saw his first major win.
Ashcroft Talk Of The Town, Marquis, was WD at just over a year old in West Friendship, MD and Wildwood NJ.
Callie, Lambs End Calientita At Ashcroft was Best Of Breed in West Friendship, MD.
September 27, 2009 my lovely import "Vicky" became new Champion Sandy And Blues Silvia Of Sweden. Named for the current
and much loved Queen of Sweden, Vicky is a lovely bitch with an Ashcroft dam, and a Swedish sire who goes back to some
outstanding English dogs. My sincere thanks to the Lidsell family of Sweden for letting me bring her here, and especially to
Victoria Lidsell, who takes such loving care of her dam
Elvira.
I am THRILLED to announce the first Ashcroft-bred dog with an Earth Dog title. Karen and Al Miller's lovely sandy female
Ashcroft Sangeo Savanna JE completed the requirements for an AKC junior earth dog title 10/30/09. Their younger dog,
Ch Ashcroft Orion is right on her heels with one leg toward his title. They also competed in an AWTA trial and BOTH earned
their Certificate of Gameness! Orion and Savanna represented the breed at the AKC Meet The Breeds event in NYC in the
breed booth and at the earth dog demonstration.
