Ashcroft is located in lovely Honey Brook, Pennsylvania on 4.4 rolling acres. South of Morgantown, north of Coatesville, I am convenient to Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Allentown, Pennsylvania. Ashcroft has been the home of champion and companion Bedlington Terriers since 2000. I have owned and competed with pure bred dogs since 1982. I had several champion and obedience titled Borzoi between 1982 and 1999. When I had to change to a smaller breed, the Bedlington Terrier was my choice. I have applied all my acquired knowledge and experience to purchasing and breeding top quality competitors and healthy companions. I am a member in good standing of the Bedlington Terrier Club of America, and was awarded the BTCA Breeder of Distinction award. I am also a member of Bryn Mawr Kennel Club and an AKC Breeder Of Merit.
My first two Bedlingtons both finished their AKC championships before they were 11 months old, and both were ranked in the top 20 in the breed the first year they were shown. These were Ch Jewelbox Diamond Jim CGC (Brady) and Ch Wrightwyn's Puttin On The Ritz CGC (Cocoa).
Cocoa's first litter was born in October 2002. Four of the youngsters from her litter finished their championships. Ch Ashcroft Sangeo Sonora finished with 3 majors, and a Terrier Group 1 to her credit. Ch Ashcroft Sangeo Santana was Winner's Dog at the BTCA National Specialty for his second major and finished quite handily after that. Ch Ashcroft Sangeo Sonoma finished with four majors, including a 5 point major, in three weekends. In 2004, a high point was winning Best Brace In Show at the prestigious Montgomery County Kennel Club all-terrier show. The award went to Ch Ashcroft Sangeo Sonora and Ch Ashcroft Sangeo Sonoma. Ch Ashcroft Sangeo Sierra was RWB at the National and finished her championship after taking time off for her first litter for owner Nancy McLaren.
American Champion, Swedish Champion, Finnish Champion, Nordic Champion, Norwegian Champion, Nordic Winner 2014, World Winner 2014. Swedish Winner 2014, Swedish Winner 2015, Norwegian Winner 2016, Swedish Winner 2017 CH Ashcroft Wedding Singer went to live at Kennel Notice in Sweden. Less than 2 months later, with new owner Ninna Odehag, Singer went BOB at the World Dog Show in Finland, also making the final cut of eight in the Terrier Group. Singer earned championship titles in multiple countries and has offspring abroad.

From that auspicious beginning, Ashcroft has continued to breed and exhibit top quality conformation dogs and fantastic companions. Ashcroft is maintaining momentum, and also being incorporated into other bloodlines to make a contribution there. The quality at Ashcroft gets deeper with the passing years and we continue to strive for the best in Bedlington Terriers.
